The wind gathering team visited Half Moon Village, Agree Village, and Gaodong Park in Fengyu Town to observe the scene, listen to introductions, and record the fruitful achievements of Yanjiang District in developing the characteristic fruit industry and helping rural revitalization.

Yanjiang citrus has a history of more than 2,600 years. According to records, there were 10,000 mu of orange sea in Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty (AD 643). In 2023, the citrus planting area in the whole region was 270,000 mu, with an output of 460,000 tons and an output value of 1.9 billion yuan, forming a main early-maturing citrus producing area with Fengyu Town as the core and a late-maturing citrus core area with Zhonghe and Danshan towns as the core. In recent years, Yanjiang has made great efforts to develop late-maturing citrus such as Daya, Wogan and Blood Orange, and early and late-maturing products have been supplied to the market from early August of the first year to May of the following year. 

In recent years, Yanjiang District has vigorously promoted the quality improvement and efficiency improvement project of citrus, set up the preparatory group of the regional citrus industry development center, and piloted it in six towns to promote the grafting of new varieties to 1,500 mu; Actively expand foreign cooperation and sign the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Danling County; Constantly strengthen the improvement of industrial supporting facilities, increase the export record base to 8770 mu, have two fruit processing and packaging factories, and establish an e-commerce center to help farmers live in Taoshu Village, Xiangfu Town; At the same time, we will increase brand promotion, formulate publicity programs, launch planting teaching, and use the faç ade, outdoor big screen and building advertisements to continuously publish and broadcast propaganda slogans of Yanjiang mandarin orange, so as to create the brand of "Yanjiang mandarin orange" continuously.

It is reported that Yanjiang District is a strong modern agricultural industrial base in the province, a core demonstration area of provincial modern agricultural advantageous industries, a national high-quality mandarin orange base, the largest production and marketing center of early-maturing citrus in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and the only production and marketing base of early-maturing citrus in the province. In 2008, "Yanjiang Mandarin Orange" won the "National Geographical Indication Product Protection" and was rated as one of the top 100 regional agricultural products in China. In 2020, Foshan Juhai Park was rated as a provincial modern agricultural park.
